DOCUMENTARY (14 MIN) | VPRO | 2022

Director Esmée van Loon questions various queers about the unwritten rules surrounding coming out. Who decided that coming out is a rite of passage for non-heterosexual people, but unnecessary for straight people? In the film we look for an answer to the question for whom we actually come out of the closet. Are we doing this for ourselves or for the people around us?

Premiere at the Nederlands Film Festival, broadcast in November 2022.
